Still diggin' the bikes

I'm really diggin' these Schwinn Classic Cruisers. I know I blogged about these before (see this post) but I can't seem to stop thinking about them. Here are two new bikes from the 2009 collection, which I think I prefer over the 2007-08 bikes. I really love this black and white Classic Seven Deluxe model, but the blue Classic SS model is pretty sweet, too. I'm debating whether to save up and get one, or try to find a cheap old one on eBay and fix it up. I already know I don't have time to do extensive remodeling, but I might be able to find one that's in reasonably good condition. Sigh...

Hey, hi -- I'm GingerTheCat's Momma and thought I'd pop over here to your blog.

I have a retro bike. I love Schwinn, that's what I had as a kid. I discovered Electras and have a Townie. Here's a pic:

I think I need to put Ginger in the basket and take her for a ride.

I see you went to Hawaii recently...or you've been there? I'm from Oahu. I last visited Maui when I was 5 which is something like eleventy-billion years ago.

Cheers!

Oooh, cool bike! And I love the color. I think I am wanting a blue one, too.

I just checked out the website and I love their cruisers! Do you know how much they run? There's a dealer right near my home that sells them, but neither Electra nor the local dealer's website show any prices. I'm afraid to ask :)

Thanks for checking out my blog. I love following your cats' adventures. My Ginger (the orange tabby who's pictured on the side of my blog) was a stray that just came out of nowhere. She was super friendly and was purring the minute we started petting her. Here we are six years later and she's a beloved pet to my parents (and buddy to their dog Otto, who's also pictured on my blog). I love following the Q2 storyline.

My husband and I went to Hawaii on our honeymoon in early August. It was fantastic. We went to Kauai and Maui, but not Oahu. Do you miss it? It was gorgeous and the weather was great. I get moments where I miss it sometimes, especially now that fall is almost here :)

You have to at least sit on a Townie once. I was seriously going to buy a different bike but my friend told me to just go sit on one. My bike is the Townie 21 and I think I paid $427 for it. They do occasionally put them on sale and 4 of my friends got in on the sale price. :/ :)

I see your Ginger! She's gorgeous! She sounds like a real sweetheart. Thank you so much for coming to my site! Can you tell I'm a cat fanatic? :D Did you read Ginger's About page -- it mentions her background and how she got her name.....I would've never named her that had I met her out of the blue.

Your honeymoon sounds like it was quite fantastic! Congratulations on your marriage -- when did you get married? (Our anniversary is 8-8 and from day one I had been looking forward to 08-08-08.)

Then I'll definitely have to check them out. I do like the Schwinns, but the Electras are really nice. I think I might pop over to the dealer near us and see what they're all about. But yeah, LOVE the color of yours :)

Yeah, I kinda picked up on your cat fancy, lol. But I'm the same—all I ever talk about are my animals, and their pix are all over my blog. Oh yeah, and my husband's, too, ha ha.

I haven't read Ginger's About page, but I will after I write this. Now I'm intrigued. I also saw her web cam, which is a neat concept. I was debating whether to start up a new blog that featured my pets and their view of the world. It would be lots of fun, but I sometimes struggle just keeping this one going! I also have another blog that I post on from time to time, but it's all about rants, so I don't always have something to say there.

Hawaii was fantastic. I miss it, but I'm somewhat glad the wedding stuff is done. LOTS of stress, money, time, etc. But fun. And our anniversary is now 8-2-08. I like that date, it's pretty good. Not as cool as 8-8-08 though! How many years have you been married? We're almost at the two month mark, lol.

Well, thanks for writing to me. It's so neat to hear from other bloggers. I'm fairly recent to this scene, although I've been following a blog called Oh Happy Day for over a year and a half now. That's how I got started. I loved that blog and what it was all about, and figured I could easily do the same, but tailor it to my tastes. Here I am three months later and I love it :)
