Today my friends Georgia, Heather, and I are heading to Ravinia to see Feist. When Georgia mentioned last week that she and Heather were going, I was like, "Whaaaaat?!?" So Georgia had a feeling I might want to join them.
I'm going to bring the picnic basket that Pete and I just got for our bridal shower a month ago. My brother Matt and his girlfriend Shannon gave it to us, and it's one of our favorite gifts. They're celebrating their two-year anniversary next week, so I suggested they borrow it and head to Ravinia themselves.
I bought gobs of fruit last night to bring along—strawberries, pineapple, grapes, and cherries—as well as some delish dipping chocolate. Georgia and Heather are bringing the wine, cheese, and other nibbles. I'm hoping the grass dries out by this evening, because that'll suck if we have to sit on damp blankets all night. I don't like having a wet bottom.
