Friday afternoon, red light near Woodfield, 4:33 p.m.

I just stopped by Georgia's photography blog, It's Just How I See Things, and read her post about taking random shots from her car. Well, that reminded me of this shot I took while heading to Woodfield with Pete last Friday, to go shopping after work for clothes and such. I looked out my window while we were at a red light and saw the most amazing blue sky and white puffy clouds. And in front of this gorgeous sky were these two glass buildings reflecting all that beauty, but in a very abstract and almost mosaic way. Each individual pale blue glass panel on the buildings was gleaming and reflecting its own chunk of blue and white. I was blown away by what I saw, and desperately wanted to take some cool shots of this scene, but I only had my iPhone with me. So, this is the shot I got, but I hope you can see what I saw that day. Just another reason to go pick that little Olympus out, which Pete and I haven't gotten around to doing yet. Maybe tomorrow? Sigh...

Anyhow, thanks for the reminder, Georgia!

I do this too! I posted a blog awhile back of photos I took and altered while waiting at the train tracks! I am starting to get addicted to this...

I agree about nature and modern structures, avant garde. I love mixing the two. And I can't wait to see the post!

Yes, Claire, I have lots of suggestions. What kind of camera are you looking for? I'll email you to discuss...

It IS very addicting, Alyssa! I'm notorious for taking pix while in the car. I have to be careful that I don't crash the car just so I can get that perfect shot, lol. And using the iPhone's camera isn't as easy as using a normal digital camera. You can't just stick it out the window, but instead have to hold veeerrrryyy still.

Thanks, G! You were my inspiration to post it :)

Beautiful picture! I think it's a pretty good shot for an iPhone! I sometimes try to snap pictures from the car, but they never look that good.
