Addicted to pretzel bread

Izzy and I are currently addicted to Trader Joe's Soft Pretzel Sticks. We can't seem to get enough of them, and every time we bite into one of the mini loafs, we both moan aloud with pleasure. They're ridiculously good and fairly inexpensive ($.99 each), so we tend to snarf them down a lot whenever we can.

Oh, and we wash 'em down with some yummy Trader Joe's Refreshers, either in Pomegranate or Tangerine. They're $4.99 for a case of four. Yum.

A typical Pete meal

From Sunday evening...Arby's Junior Jalapeño Roast Beefs smothered with Horsey sauce, jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, and El Yucateco XXXtra Hot Sauce (Chile Habanero), times six sandwiches. My ulcer is doing backflips just thinking about eating this stuff!

Me feeling full

Pete and I went to The Bavarian Lodge in Lisle for dinner last night. We went there on our second date, which didn't go very well, and in turn caused me to not want to go out with him for a week or so. Long story, but it wasn't pretty. Anyhow, things obviously turned around and we have been there many times since. It's got excellent German food and a wonderful variety of imported beer. Plus, we never have to wait for a table. We figured we'd do the German thing for dinner last night, since we did meet at an Oktoberfest party, after all.
